Two launches: the Kids Chef Knife, and Misenware, which raised $2.6m on Kickstarter.
Misen was a steady collaboration from 2025 to 2026, covering individual products and how the whole lineup fits together.
Designing for kids is surprisingly nuanced. The ergonomics have to build confidence without being condescending, the materials have to feel real, and the whole thing has to work for small hands without feeling like a toy. I worked through the full process: concept, CAD, prototyping and DFM, making sure what looked good in a render held up in a kitchen.
Misenware came next: food storage you can cook in, freeze, stack, microwave, grill with and put in the dishwasher. Built to be bought once.
